Advanced Curriculum

I have often been asked by OSL members who have completed their associate's studies: "What now?  I'm a full member, is there anything more I need to know about healing?"  The answer to the second part of this question is: "Yes, there is plenty more you should know to practice your healing ministry."   We didn't have a good answer to the first part until now. The first year of the new advanced curriculum is ready and available. The title of the course is "Going Deeper: Learning Resources for Nurturing Your Christian Healing Ministry."  There are eight lessons in Year One, including such topics as Meditative Prayer, Healing of Memories, and Journey to Maturity.

This course is intended for use by full members in group study within their chapters, with each member obtaining a book for their personal reading and study.  It can also be used by persons and churches without a specific commitment to the Order of St. Luke.  The course was developed in cooperation with the Agnes Sanford Schools of Pastoral Care as a three-year curriculum, and although only Year One is ready, Year Two and Year Three will be coming soon.  These will take us into even more advanced levels of the healing ministry.

I am so happy that we now have this wonderful course of study.  I know the careful planning and writing which went into it to make it the best possible course for healing ministers to deepen their walk with God.  My chapter is planning to purchase the course and I am looking forward to studying the lessons.  The cost is $9.00 per book, with a shipping and handling charge of $4.26, for a total price of $13.26 per book.  Books can be ordered from the Resource Center, P.O. Box 13702, San Antonio, TX 78213, or by calling 1-800-675-9228.

I pray that through this course, God will enrich your ministry, and may your walk with our Lord Jesus be deepened through your studies.
